Terms & conditions
These terms govern orders you place with Acomb Pizza & Kebab House through this website. By placing an order you confirm that you accept them. These terms are between you and Acomb Pizza & Kebab House, of 2 Front Street, York, YO24 3BQ.
Ordering
- You must be at least 18 years old to place an order.
- Prices on the website are in pounds sterling and include VAT where applicable.
- Placing an order is an offer to buy. Your order is not accepted until our kitchen confirms it; you will receive a confirmation with a ready time once it is accepted.
- If we cannot fulfil an item, we will contact you and offer either a substitute or a refund.
Payment
- Card payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your card number.
- Cash is accepted on collection or on delivery, payable in full at the time of handover.
- If a card payment fails, the order is not placed.
Collection and delivery
- Collection orders should be picked up at the time stated in your confirmation. Orders left longer than 30 minutes past the ready time may be discarded for food-safety reasons, and we cannot offer a refund in that case.
- Delivery is offered in our delivery area only. Our driver will attempt delivery once at the address you provide. If no one is available we may, at our discretion, leave the order at the door.
- Estimated times are best-effort and can be affected by traffic and how busy we are.
Cancellations and refunds
- You can cancel a card-paid order for a full refund any time before our kitchen accepts it — call us on 01904 785588.
- Once an order has been accepted and preparation has started, we cannot offer a refund except where required by law (for example, if the food is not as described or is unfit to eat).
- If your order is wrong or unfit, please contact us within 24 hours so we can put it right.
Allergens
All of our food is prepared in a kitchen that handles the 14 named allergens, and we cannot guarantee that any item is free from traces of them. If you have a food allergy or intolerance, please tell us before you order. See our allergy information for details.
Promotional discounts
The 10% online discount is applied automatically to the subtotal of qualifying online orders of £12 or more. The minimum is measured on the subtotal, before any service or delivery charge. We may change or end this offer at any time.
Liability
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for any breach of your statutory rights as a consumer.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
